by Puspa Awalia P on May 30, 2025

Quarantine plays a pivotal role in the export of plants and plant products, safeguarding not only the agricultural ecosystems of the exporting country and also ensuring the integrity of international trade
Why is it important?
- Prevents the spread of Plant Pest Organisms (OPTs)
- Aligned with the Policies of the Destination Country

- Mitigating Economic Risks
Quarantine measures are designed to certify that exported plants and plant products are free from Plant Pest Organisms targeted by destination counties. Prevents the unintentional transmission of pests, preserving the health of global agricultural systems
Quarantine ensures that the exported goods adhere to the Indonesian policies. Fostering international trade relationships, reduces risk of rejections, and facilitates smoother cross-border transactions
Implementing quarantine measures, nations contribute to the preservation of global biodiversity. Helps PROTECT native flora and fauna in both exporting and importing countries
